About the Author
Robert I. Eaton began serving as president of the Washington Federal Way Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in summer 2013. Prior to that, he was a professor of religious education at Brigham Young University Idaho. He is a graduate of BYU and of Stanford Law School, and he worked as a corporate vice president before joining the BYU Idaho faculty. He has served as a bishop and spoken frequently at BYU Education Week. He and his wife, Diane, are the parents of four children

An excellent and thoughtful read

This is an excellent read, providing significant insight into the thought process of President Eyring. It is not a fast read, since there are many insights provided which require thoughtful consideration. It is especially interesting to read "Hal's" take on things after having read the biography of his father, "Mormon Scientist: The Life and Faith of Henry Eyring". President Eyring is certainly a product of the best of both his father and his mother.

Excellent! A great read as you learn of the life of an amazing scholar and disciple. A truly great man whose life is an example of dedication, intelligence, humility, and growth through constant effort. An example to all of living a life of service and goodness.

Excellent Book

Great insight into his background and parents role in his life. Also we learn his path through life and some of the challenges that he faced and how he has met them. Also I personally learned how he made decisions by study and seeking the guidance of the Spirit. Also I appreciated learning of some of the health challenges that he and his wife have faced and continue to face. Being 78 years old myself I have faced and are facing some of the same challenges. And reading of his experience is helpful.
His talks and writings have been and continue to be an inspiration in my life. This book makes these talks and writings even more meaningful.
